A Special Thank You For 25 Great Years
Friday 15th May was a big day for me. That was the day in 1995, when we opened the doors of the Cosmetic and Restorative Surgery Clinic at Double Bay.
I had just returned from The United States, having gained specialist qualifications in plastic and reconstructive surgery at The Mayo Clinic, one of America’s most respected and trusted medical facilities. I had also been in practice in Eastern Virginia.
If being a Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon is sobering stuff, it’s also a job where happiness steals into your life in unexpected ways. The wonder of medicine really lies in its human touch. Often I see things that make a patient happy, the one that stands out most is the gift of time.
I am at my most content with a patient listening to their concerns and explaining the best possible result.
What gratifies me is happy patients. Nothing puts a spring in my step like the sight of a patient who returns after surgery for follow up consultation and is delighted with the results.
In fact, the capacity to make a palpable difference to the human condition is what makes my career so worthwhile.
My loyal staff and associates have accompanied me for many years on this fulfilling journey of excellence.
As far back as the fourth century BC Hippocrates observed
“May you cure sometimes, relieve often and comfort always.”
This may be the one prescription in medicine without an expiration date.
Thank you to my wonderful patients and I look forward to continuing our journey together.
