At the Cosmetic & Restorative Surgery Clinic and Double Bay Day Surgery, we have greeted hundreds of patients from out of town, interstate and overseas over the years. Our staff have the experience and expertise to try and make your stay with us and your after care as convenient and comfortable as possible.
With today’s busy lifestyles most people are time poor. Because of this, we try to be flexible to allow our out of town patients two approaches to making their initial inquiries with us. 1) You can have an initial consultation with Dr. Hodgkinson on a trip to Sydney prior to surgery during which we can organize everything for your visit for surgery. 2) You can email us images of yourself for Dr. Hodgkinson to review to begin your dialogue with us. In many instances, we are able to prepare patients remotely (organize paperwork, medical history and pathology tests to be done close to home) prior to arriving in Sydney as late as the day before their surgery.
How Long Do I Need to Stay in Sydney?
Most procedures require a 1-2 night stay in Sydney for out of towners and a 1-7 night stay for interstate and overseas patients. The length of recommended stay depends upon the procedure. For more information on the procedure(s) you are interested in, please give us a call on intl+61 2 9362 7400 during business hours or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Where do I Stay in Sydney?
We prefer to have you stay as close to the clinic as possible on the night of surgery and the first few nights thereafter. If after these initial days you prefer to stay elsewhere in the city that is fine. One of the hotels we recommend is The Savoy in Double Bay. The Savoy is 3 1/2 stars but very close, very clean and friendly- not to mention economical. The major reason we suggest The Savoy, however, other than their location, is that the hotel is owner operated and the staff there are extremely obliging to our patients. The Savoy is also amidst shops and parks to keep you from getting cabin fever if you want to venture out in your sunglasses & scarf or hat… Another hotel close by is the Vibe Hotel in Rushcutters Bay. If you are looking for something with that little extra bit of comfort & luxury and budget is less of a concern we recommend the brand new Intercontinental in Double Bay. After the third day you can move further afield to another hotel if you prefer but initially we want you as close as possible.
We require all surgical patients to have a support person with them the first night after surgery. If you are travelling alone we can organize, for an additional fee, to have one of our private specialized nurses spend the first night with you and additional nights if you so desire. We require one of our nurses to accompany all facelift and most tummy tuck patients on their first night.
